The most serious PTSD symptoms signal the presence of a malevolent ego part, or parts, within a sufferer.
Ego parts are created to protect a person from emotional trauma. They isolate the emotion, and the memory, inside the person, so they can continue on without the burden of what happened. The only time that emotion is felt again is when something else happens to remind the body of the original trauma. However, without the original memory, the sensation is experienced without context.
As people age, and endure multiple traumas, the burden on an ego part can become intolerable. The part may begin to create debilitating, painful, even crippling symptoms inside the body to draw attention to its plight. That is PTSD.
To be able to help a client eliminate serious PTSD symptoms, by discovering the root cause of what they are experiencing, hypnotherapists must understand how to address and negotiate with an ego part, which is so upset it has become malevolent.
